On April 19, we celebrated the 95th anniversary of MAK Aandrijvingen. In a retrospective of 95 successful years, several short videos have been posted on our LinkedIn page over the past week, each highlighting a different aspect.
This wonderful milestone started off well. We recently received a portrait of the man whose name is still mentioned every day in all communications. Until recently, we had no image of Gerard Mak. His grandson shared a beautiful portrait of grandfather Mak with us. Many thanks Pieter Tirion!
This enabled us to make an announcement on the day before the anniversary with the image of our founder, Gerard Mak, who founded MAK Aandrijvingen B.V. on April 19, 1926.
We kicked off the week with a review of the various properties and relocations of the past 95 years. Inside and outside Amsterdam, where it all began. The film concludes with a picture of our office building along the A6, in Lelystad. Following was an overview of some of the trade fairs in which we took part.
A look in the archives containing numerous photos of the past 95 years also provided ample memories of "how things were done in the past" and in what surroundings. Office spaces, workshops, wonderful material to devote a post to. How in the course of almost one hundred years our image to the outside world went through various metamorphoses, the various expressions within our branding. Times have changed, and MAK has changed with them. We concluded the anniversary week with a number of photos of colleagues and former colleagues.
