Covers

Megadyne offers a variety of coverings in polyurethane, elastomer, foam, PVC and other unique solutions: choice of correct coating depends on application field and specific requirements. Some cover materials are applied during the production belt in a homogeneous structure; others are added later, using different methods (bonding, spraying or, vulcanize process). Different coatings, various properties: high or low friction value, acid and water resistant, elastic, soft or hard. Due the different features, belts whit cover can be use in several applications of industries.

 

Cleats

MEGALINEAR and MEGAFLEX timing belts can be customised with profiles welded on the backside. All the cleats are made using highly resistant thermoplastic polyurethane.The shaping of the cleat is defined by the transport task and shape of the transport goods.Using our flexible production capabilities Megadyne can design any cleat shape to meet the specific requirements of the customer:

• • from one or several thermoplastic polyurethane strip rolls,
• • from an existing cleat by mechanical processing,
• • with a specifically manufactured injection mould.

 

The cleats are attached by using high frequency vibration, mirror welding, infrared welding and chemical bonding.

 

False Teeth

For applications where a welded cleat or profile shape does not address design requirements. Megadyne’s False Teeth (FTS) may be the answer. Megadyne's FTS is stainless steel hardware that allows for a simple mechanical attachment of not only urethane cleats, but other materials like steel, plastic and wood. FTS is available for AT10, H and AT20 pitch MEGALINEAR, MEGAFLEX and MEGAPOWER belts. FTS is a unique design option for cleats and other profile shapes that need to be repositioned or replaced frequently, along with applications where a welded cleat cannot stand up to high loads.
